Sittwe Film Screening and Panel Discussion about Rakhine State

Stanford Politics, a student run newsmagazine, has produced several articles covering Handa Center events on campus.

“The mobilization of hatred…is too often an extremely useful political strategy”, written by Holden Foreman and published on November 8, 2017 captures the screening of Sittwe, an 18-minute documentary on conflict and segregation in the Rakhine State. After the film, Director Jeanne Hallacy and Producer U Myo Win held a panel discussion with Stanford Professors Larry Diamond and Clayborne Carson.
