The Trump Administration and International Law Featuring Harold Koh

Annual Public Lecture on International Justice

In this lecture, Harold Koh argues that in the first one hundred days, the Trump Administration’s disruption of international law has created multiple crises, and he makes the case that the new administration’s strategy could permanently change the nature of the United States’ relationship with international law, institutions, and allies. He further interrogates whether there is an effective counter-strategy to ensure respect for the rule of international law going forward.
